Feature overview

This is a customer service-centric feature that allows service representatives to more easily meet their caller’s needs. With the attendant transfer feature, the caller is put on hold while the representative confirms with the transfer destination that the call can be sent through.

The system then merges the two calls so that the client can speak to the new representative and the old one can hang up without disconnecting the call.

A blind transfer works the same way but without first calling the destination to confirm the transfer.
